Lifter Elements 1.7.2 fixes one thing: the download archive again extracts to a folder named lifter-elements, which is the directory the plugin is installed in. There are no code changes beyond the packaging.
Why it matters
When you upload a plugin zip through Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, WordPress installs it into a folder named after the zip’s top-level directory. If that name differs from the folder an existing copy lives in, WordPress treats the upload as a second plugin instead of an update of the first. The 1.7.1 archive extracted to a different folder name, so a manual install over an existing copy could end up with two Lifter Elements entries on the Plugins page. The 1.7.2 archive extracts to lifter-elements again, so a manual upload replaces the existing install as it should.
If you updated through Dashboard > Updates you were not affected, because the updater handles the folder itself. If you did install 1.7.1 by upload and now see two copies of the plugin, deactivate and delete the one that is not in the lifter-elements folder, then install 1.7.2 over the remaining copy.
