Update: conditional logic and Elementor's element cache in Lifter Elements 1.6.4

| henry

Lifter Elements 1.6.4 fixes three things, two of them about caching. If you use conditional logic to show different content to different students, this is the release that keeps it working alongside Elementor’s element cache.

The update is waiting under Dashboard > Updates if your license is active.

What’s fixed

Elementor’s element cache can serve a widget’s rendered output from cache instead of rendering it again. For a widget with a conditional-logic rule that is the wrong thing to do: the cached copy was rendered for one visitor’s status and would be shown to the next visitor whatever theirs was. From 1.6.4, a widget with a conditional-logic rule is never served from the element cache.

Along the same lines, every Lifter Elements widget is now registered with Elementor as dynamic content, so Elementor knows the output depends on who is looking and does not cache it.

The third fix is the Course Access Plans slider, which was not initialising correctly in some cases.

If a conditional widget still shows the wrong content to a visitor after updating, clear your page cache first, then get in touch with support if it persists.
