Beaver Profile Builder 0.2.1 opens up the custom field types in the Creator edition’s Profile Edit Form. A custom field can now be more than a single line of text.
What changed
When you add a custom field to the Profile Edit Form, you pick the user meta key it saves to and a field type. In 0.2.1 the field type list includes:
- Checkbox and Multi Checkbox
- Select and Radio, with the options set in the field’s settings
- Date Picker and Time Picker, with a choice of date and time formats
- Email, Url, Tel and Number
- Date, Time, Datetime, Date time local, Month and Week
Each type is validated before the form saves, so a required checkbox or select has to be filled in, and an email field has to hold an email address.
